David Parks
Owner
David grew up in a family that was deeply rooted in the resort development business. Through this exposure, coupled with holiday and summer work in the business, David became very familiar with all facets of the development and building businesses. While claiming Charleston, SC as home, David and his family lived in other great coastal cities like Hilton Head, SC and Myrtle Beach, SC.
Wanting to gain valuable experience outside of the development and building industries, David spent seven years in the corporate world after graduating from Clemson University in 1991. David spent his corporate years in New York City and Chicago where he ultimately met his wife, Dia.
While the corporate experience was invaluable for David, he could not shake the entrepreneurial aspects of his personality. Returning to the familiar, David left his corporate position to pursue development and building opportunities. Research into the rapidly growing Cashiers, NC market prompted him to consider a development project in Cashiers, NC. Ultimately, this lead to the successful development of a project called The Mountain Club at Cashiers located in Sapphire, NC.
David began operations of Triad Building Company in 1999. Triad was conceived initially as the building arm of his development; however, building requests from clients owning property outside of his development spurred the growth and expansion of Triad Building Company. Presently, Triad serves custom home buyers, developers and investors alike.
David's primary responsibility within the organization includes sales and marketing, project estimating and bidding, financial management and the strategic direction of the company. David divides his work week between the office in Cashiers and his home office in Atlanta, where he lives with his wife Dia, three daughters Riley, Magen, and Brittan, and their ever energetic family dog, Ruka.

Karen Kamp
General Manager
Born and raised in the farming community of Princeton, Wisconsin, Karen acquired customer service skills at an early age while managing, along with her brothers and sisters, her parent's fresh vegetable market. In the early 1970's, Karen traveled to Tampa, Florida, and decided to make that state her home.
Karen began a twenty-two year career as a Program Manager with Lockheed Martin in Clearwater, Florida. Her first programs were all with the Navy, but as defense technology changed, Karen managed many of the Airborne domestic and international programs including the B2 Stealth Bomber and P3cAIP Aircraft.
In February 1999, preparing for semi-retirement in Brevard, NC, Karen retired from the corporate world and decided to learn a new career in retail. Accepting the position of a Training Manager with JC Penney, she assisted with opening a brand new store at the Citrus Park Mall in Tampa. When she and her husband Dave moved to Brevard in September, Karen joined the Belk Department store in Asheville. When an assistant manager position opened at the Brevard Belk location, Karen transferred and after less than one year, was promoted to Store Manager. Deciding it was time to really get serious; Karen led her store and team to new record sales growth and proudly received the Belk Western Division Store Manager of the Year award in 2003.
As Dave related the interest and excitement in the custom home business to Karen, she knew it was another career path she too, would like to experience. In May 2005, when a position opened, Karen joined the Triad team. She spearheads the customer selections processes, coordinates activities between our field operations and the office, and is heavily involved in managing our customer service activities in general.
Karen and Dave, both avid dog lovers, currently have Maggie, Grover and Rudy waiting at the gate upon their arrival home!

Dave Kamp
Senior Project Manager
Spending his childhood in cold, blustery Cleveland Ohio, Dave moved to balmy Florida in the early 70's. He became the Staff Photographer for ten years at Lockheed Martin in Clearwater, Florida and the next 13 years were spent as the Manager of Voice and Data Communications.
Tired of the 23 year corporate rat race, he went into "semi-retirement". Dave and his wife Karen moved to Brevard, NC in September 1999. Dave spent the first year completing the renovation of their 60 year old stone home, and then enjoyed the next two years working on his golf game as Manager of the Double Tee Golf Center in Hendersonville, NC. Karen decided it was time for him to get real job and Dave joined the Triad Team in October 2003.
During the early build phases, Dave is responsible for the electrical/structured wiring, window/exterior doors and cabinetry components. Once the drywall phase is complete Dave assumes the project management of all the finishing phases of your home and takes you through the customer orientation walk-through. |

Jeffrey Jankiewicz
Senior Project Manager
Jeffrey's childhood began in Virginia and spanned multiple states including Hawaii, Georgia, back to Virginia and now, North Carolina.
Jeffrey started his construction career in 1992.After mastering his framing and siding skills, in the flatlands of Wilmington, NC, he moved to Hayesville, NC in 1999, where he took on the bigger challenge of "mountain" building. Once the fear of falling 100 feet to his death subsided, he settled in and learned the new style of framing. Jeff's reputation as one of the best master framers in North Carolina is widely recognized and certainly benefits Team Triad. He has a knack for managing a very difficult build phase and making it seem easy.
After framing and siding many beautiful mountain homes as a sub-contractor, Jeff became interested in working on the contractor side of the business. In January 2004 he was hired by Triad. Affectionately known as "Dirt-Man", Jeff is the project manager for all of the early build phases from site work, foundations, framing etc. up to the drywall phase. He also manages the final grade phase at the conclusion of the project.
Jeff, a sports and music enthusiast, enjoys family time with his wife Cathy, and sons Phillip and Chandler.
